Erkut & Lim Pick Up First NEAC Tennis Weekly Awards of 2019-20

LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Penn State Abington’s Erkut and Penn State Harrisburg’s Lim as NEAC men’s and women’s tennis Players of the Week.

Ilker Erkut (Philadelphia, Pa.) opened the 2019-20 campaign 2-0 for Penn State Abington in the Nittany Lions 9-0 win over Cairn. At No. 2 doubles, Erkut and Sage Kiergarsky won 8-1. Then at No. 2 singles, Erkut won easily 6-0, 6-1.

Rachael Lim (Moonachie, N.J.) opened her collegiate career with a pair of wins for Penn State Harrisburg against Immaculata. Lim combined with Sydney Nye for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. In singles, Lim won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 singles to help Harrisburg to an 8-1 team win over Immaculata.   


The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has 12 NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Cazenovia College, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Morrisville State, Penn College, Penn State Abington, Penn State Berks, Penn State Harrisburg, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Poly, and Wells College. Associate members are: Alfred State (M Lacrosse), Cedar Crest College (W Swimming), College of Saint Elizabeth (M Tennis & M Volleyball), D’Youville College (W Lacrosse), Hilbert College (M&W Lacrosse), Medaille College (M&W Lacrosse), Rutgers University – Camden (M Golf), SUNY Potsdam (M Volleyball) and Wilson College (M Volleyball).
