  • MSOC: Wildcats Fall to Hamilton at Home.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men?s soccer team suffered a tough non-conference loss on Tuesday night 5-0 to Hamilton College. The Wildcats struggled to get the offense rolling, getting shut-out for just the second time this season. The loss brings the Wildcats season record to 9-3. Hamilton is now 4-5-1 in 2019.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men?s soccer team defended their home turf against North Eastern Athletic Conference rival Morrisville State. The Wildcats struck first after 33 minutes past. Richie Morris (Spanish Town, Jamaica) scored on an assist from Doreion Alleyne (Princes Town, Trinidad and Tobago). They would end the half up 1-0. The Wildcats would come out of the locker room swinging. Richie Morris would again score this time on a pass from Akeem Shelton (Kingston, Jamaica). Later in the half, Morrisville would get on the board with a goal from Ralph Andre but it would be too little too late as the Wildcats would hold on for a 2-1 victory.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men?s soccer team won at home against the SUNY Canton Roos 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored by Randolph Butler (New Hartford, N.Y.) on a penalty kick 12:11 into the game. From that point, the Wildcats locked down on defense to hold their lead.

    AURORA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women?s soccer team improved to 3-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play on Saturday thanks in part to a huge day by Shannon Harrison (Holland Patent, N.Y.). Harrison had six points in the game with two goals and two assists. The Wildcats scored all five of their goals un-answered. Both of the Expresse?s goals were scored in the last six minutes of regulation.

The Wildcats scored all three of their goals late in the game, all within three minutes of each other to improve to 4-0 in conference play.

    CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Women?s Volleyball team traveled to Cazenovia on Wednesday for their second conference match of the season. The Wildcats came away with the victory in five sets (21-25, 25-23, 25-18, 18-25, 15-11). Junior Karlie King (Liverpool, N.Y.) led the way for the Wildcats as she totaled 21 kills, five service aces and 14 digs. SUNY Poly moves to 5-8 overall and 2-0 in NEAC play with the win.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men?s soccer team won a double-overtime thriller to advance to 3-0 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference with a 1-0 win over the SUNYCobleskill FightingTigers. After a deadlocked regulation with no goals scored the game would be decided in multiple overtime periods. The game would be decided in the 109th minute by Richie Morris (Spanish Town, Jamaica) assisted on a beautiful pass by Akeem Shelton (Kingston, Jamaica).

The SUNY Poly Wildcats got in a 2-0 hole early in the first half but came out of the locker room swinging in the second. The Wildcats scored twice to tie the game up to end regulation.. After a scoreless first overtime period, the Wildcats would score the golden goal to earnt the 3-2 victory at Alfred State.

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Women?s Volleyball team recorded their first two wins of the season this weekend defeating SUNY Canton on Friday and Medaille on Saturday. Karlie King (Liverpool, N.Y.) was named to the All-Tournament Team for the second straight season. The Wildcats finished their four-match slate in the RIT/Rochester Tournament 2-2, placing seventh out of 11 teams.

On Friday, the Wildcats opened the season with a match against Geneva, followed by a match against Cedar Crest. The Wildcats then took on Simmons and Penn St.-Behrend on Saturday.

    MARCY, N.Y.- The SUNY Poly men?s soccer team lost a close 3-2 game to open their season Friday night against the Utica College Pioneers. After getting down a goal, the Wildcats came back to tie the game before the half. In the second half, Utica would come out hot and score two goals in just over 16 minutes. Poly nearly tied the game up late in the second half, but a great save kept the Pioneers in the driver's seat.

  • SUNY Poly Announces Transition to the North Atlantic Conference for the 2020-21 Season.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Wildcat Athletics Department is pleased to announce a change in conference alignment for the 2020-21 season. SUNY Poly will make the change officially on July 1st, 2020 joining the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Eleven of the twelve Wildcat varsity sports will be sponsored by the NAC, allowing the Wildcats to compete for the NAC's auto-qualifying bids to the NCAA Tournament in each respective sport. The Wildcats will make the change after finishing their 11th season in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) in 2019-20. Fellow NEAC members Cobleskill State and Cazenovia College will make the change with SUNY Poly growing the membership of the NAC to 12 teams. The current NAC membership includes SUNY Canton, SUNY Delhi, UMaine-Presque Isle, UMaine-Farmington, Husson University, Northern Vermont University-Johnson, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon, Maine Maritime Academy, and Thomas College. With the addition, the conference will be transitioning to a divisional scheduling model in most sports.     MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women?s lacrosse team is heading to the NEAC Championship on Sunday after earning a 21-16 win over Keuka College in the NEAC Semifinals. The Wildcats never trailed in the game and grew their lead to as many as eight goals. The Wildcats will face the Morrisville Mustangs for the title on Sunday, May 5th at 1:00 PM. The Mustangs advanced to the NEAC final in a blowout win over Cazenovia on Saturday.

    MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletics Department has announced that the baseball games against Penn College this weekend have been changed to a home game for the Wildcats. The games will be played at Hamilton College on Saturday and at Delutis Field in Rome on Sunday. Saturday's first game of the doubleheader will start at 12:00 PM. Sunday's single game will be at 12:00 PM at Delutis field at Rome.
