May 2, 2013 | Softball Penn State Berks to be Host Site of NEAC Softball Championship Tournament Penn State Berks is set to be the host site of the 2013 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Softball Championships, with the six-team, double-elimination tournament taking place this Friday, May 3 through Sunday, May 5.

May 2, 2013 | Softball NEAC Announces 2013 Softball All-Conference Selections The NEAC has announced its 2013 Softball North and South Division All-Conference Team selections, with first and second team honors being awarded to the top 20 players for each division as selected by the conference coaches, regardless of position. The individual award winners for each division, also selected by the coaches, have also been announced.

April 29, 2013 North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week Selections for 04-29-13 The NEAC has announced its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in the sports of baseball, men’s and women’s lacrosse and softball for the period ending April 28, 2013. These are the last set of selections in all sports for the 2012-13 season.

April 22, 2013 North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week Selections for 04-22-13 The NEAC has announced its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in the sports of baseball, men’s golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, softball and men’s and women’s tennis for the period ending April 21, 2013. These will be the last set of selections for golf and tennis this year, as their respective regular seasons will come to a close following their championship tournaments this weekend.

November 27, 2011 Gallaudet University Softball Team Volunteers at Horse Rescue Farm The Gallaudet University softball team engaged in a meaningful community service activity at HorseNet Horse Rescue back in October. HorseNet is a nonprofit organization located on a farm in Mt. Airy, Md., which specializes in rescue, rehabilitation, and finding new homes for the horses in their care.

July 18, 2011 Penn State Harrisburg's Kara Boyd Named NCAA Statistical Champion Penn State Harrisburg’s sophomore, Kara Boyd (Alexandria, PA/Juniata Valley), has been named the 2011 NCAA Division III statistical champion in softball for triples per game (.27) as announced by the NCAA Statistics Department.

May 13, 2011 Pratt Receives Two Awards for Academic and Athletic Excellence SUNYIT junior Amanda Pratt (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) has received two awards for her excellence in both academics and athletics, as she has received the 2010-11 SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete Award while also being selected to the 2010-11 CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District College Division First Team.

Hoch comes to Penn State Abington from Archbishop Wood High School (Warminster, PA) where he led his squad to the playoffs four out of five years.
