Penn State Abington Hires Potash As Head Men's Basketball Coach
Penn State Abington announced that Chris Potash has been hired as its next mens basketball coach. Potash has been an assistant coach at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia since 2008.

SUNYIT's Golembiowski Selected to Participate on the USA D-3 All-Star Basketball Team Tour in Brazil
SUNYIT junior David Golembiowski (Barneveld, NY/Holland Patent) has been selected to participate on the USA D-3 All-Star Basketball Team Tour through Brazil this summer. Golembiowski, a D3Hoops preseason All-American, was chosen to the team due to his selection to the D3Hoops All-East Region Team this past March. The rest of his teammates will also consist of players that were All-Region selections throughout the country.

SUNYIT's Men's Basketball Coach and Two Players Receive NABC Honors
The awards just wont stop for the mens basketball team, as SUNYIT mens basketball Head Coach and Athletics Director Kevin Grimmer has been selected as the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) East Region Coach of the Year, while junior David Golembiowski and senior Diloo Brown were both named to the All-East Region Team.

ECAC All-Star Honors for SUNYIT and Cazenovia's Basketball Players
For the North Eastern Athletic Conference, the ECAC awards are just added recognition for three very deserving athletes. SUNYIT's David Golembiowski was selected at the ECAC All-Stars Upstate Player of the Year as well as receiving First Team honors. Cazenovia's Colleen Clarke received ECAC All-Star Upstate First Team selections while SUNYIT's Tamara Williams received Second Team honors in the same region.

NEAC Well Represented On D3Hoops All-Region Teams
The North Eastern Athletic Conference has landed seven student-athletes and a coach on the all-region teams for d3hoops. Among the selections are NEAC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year for SUNYIT, both the men's and women's player of the year and tournament MVPs have also been selected.

SUNYIT's Dream Season for Mens Basketball Comes to an End
The SUNYIT mens basketball team had its dream season come to end with a 104-70 loss to Williams College in the NCAA Tournament sectional semifinal round Friday night. It was the first loss in the past nineteen games for the Wildcats, who finished the season with a program-best record of 26-5. SUNYIT was the first NEAC team to advance to the NCAA Sweet 16 in any sport. They were a terrific representative of the conference and what we stand for. We are very proud of their success.

SUNYIT's Men's Team Advances to the Sweet 16
The North Eastern Athletic Conference teams compete in the NCAA tournament and bring new heights to the conference. SUNYIT defeated SUNY Plattsburgh in the first round of the tournament upsetting them 71-65. In the second round, SUNYIT upset Medaille 64-63 in a tight but remarkable finish. On the women's side, Penn State Berks lost to one of the top teams in the nation Kean University 105-68.

SUNYIT Men and PS Berks Women Prepare for NCAA Tournament
The North Eastern Athletic Conference automatic qualifiers prepare for the NCAA post season tournament. SUNYIT's men will face SUNY Plattsburgh State at Plattsburgh on Friday, March 5 while PS Berks' women will face Kean University at Kean on Friday, March 5.

NEAC M&W Basketball Tournament Results After Finals
The NEAC concluded it's men's and women's basketball tournaments where on the men's side #1 SUNYIT defeated the #2 Wells in the final game with a score of 99-71. In the women's tournament, #3 PS Berks defeated #5 University of Dallas with a score of 80-78.

The NEAC concluded it's semifinal games for the men's and women's basketball tournaments. The finals are set for both tournaments where on the men's side #1 SUNYIT will face #2 Wells in the final game on Sunday at 1 PM held at PS Harrisburg. In the women's tournament, #3 PS Berks will face #5 University of Dallas in the final game also at 1 PM on Sunday held at PS Berks.

NEAC Basketball Tournament Time Changes
The North Eastern Athletic Conference has changed the times of the Friday quarterfinal games from 1 PM, 3 PM, 6 PM, and 8 PM to the new times of 3 PM, 5 PM, 7 PM, and 9 PM dues to travel concerns because of the arriving winter storm.
