Penn State Abington's Watson Records 1,000th Career Point

ABINGTON, Pa. – Penn State Abington junior guard Trish Watson (Bensalem, Pa.) entered Tuesday’s contest against fellow North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) member Lancaster Bible College needing 23 points to reach 1,000 points for her career.  She would hit that figure right on the head, finishing the night with a game-high 23 points and reaching the milestone on her last made basket that she netted with 2:04 left in the second half. 

Watson added four rebounds, three assists and two steals for Abington, which fell 59-49 on the night.  She currently leads the Nittany Lions in points (16.3), assists (2.7) and steals (2.2) per game. 

The Nittany Lions are currently 0-16 in the NEAC South Division and 0-22 overall.  They will next be in action on Saturday, Feb. 18 when they travel to take on the College of Saint Elizabeth (14-9, 11-5 NEAC South) at 1 p.m.
