Morrisville State to take Part in National Girls and Women in Sports Day
MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville State College Athletics Department invites all to take part in the 26th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) program when the Mustangs men’s & women’s basketball teams host fellow NEAC conference member Gallaudet University in a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1 and 3 p.m. in the John W. Stewart Center for Student Activities Gymnasium (STUAC).
This is the first time that Morrisville State will be participating in the NGWSD program.
Children are welcome to come to STUAC during the first half of the men’s game to partake in a meet and greet and an autograph session with members of the Mustangs’ women’s athletic teams, as well as the visiting Gallaudet Bison women’s basketball team.
NGWSD is partnering with Title IX this year as well for their 40th year affecting women’s sports in an instrumental way and giving every female athlete an equal opportunity to keep active and be involved in athletics from a young age.
