Brown Selected to D3Hoops.com Team of the Week
Utica, NY - SUNY Institute of Technology senior Diloo Brown (Harlem, NY/Technical Careers Instititute) has been selected to the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week, which was announced by the website today.
Brown earned the honor by leading
SUNYIT to a 3-0 week with averages of 19 points, 7.7
assists, five rebounds and three steals per contest while making 13
three-pointers and shooting 53 percent from the field. Brown
opened the week with 15 points, a game-high nine assists, seven
rebounds and two steals in a 76-42 victory over cross-town rival
Utica College on Wednesday. He followed that up with 11
points, a game-high eight assists, four boards and two steals in
just 27 minutes of action during a lopsided 79-49 victory over Penn
State Berks on Saturday. Brown closed the week by making
eight three-pointers and scoring a season-high 31 points to go with
game-highs of six assists and five steals in an 84-63 win over Penn
State Abington on Sunday.
Brown is currently averaging 17.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and a team best 2.4 steals per game while shooting 43 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc.
The Wildcats are currently 12-4 overall and have won four straight contests. They will look to continue their winning ways on Saturday, January 30, when they travel to take on SUNY Cobleskill. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
