Daniels, Ladlee Receive NEAC Women's Volleyball Weekly Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Adele Daniels and Claire Ladlee as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in women’s volleyball for the week ending Oct. 21.

Adele Daniels (Austin, Texas) from Gallaudet University has been honored as the NEAC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for the second time this season with 67 kills, 74 digs, 10 service aces and six assists. The Bison’s junior outside hitter posted four double-doubles out of the five matches, totaled 81 points and recorded a .196 hitting percentage. Daniels had 33 kills in league play, including 13 against Morrisville State and 20 against Cazenovia.   

Claire Ladlee (Leonardsville, N.Y.) from SUNY Poly has been selected as the NEAC Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after recording 10 total blocks on the week. The Wildcats’ junior had four solo blocks and one block assist early in the week against Utica College. Ladlee added four more solo blocks and one block assist in two NEAC games over the weekend to finish with eight solo blocks and two block assists. She also had 13 kills and two digs.
