Neuberger, Ciacciarelli Receive NEAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Kendall Neuberger and Gianna Ciacciarelli as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in women's lacrosse for the week ending March 25.

Kendall Neuberger (Penn Yan, N.Y.) from Keuka College is the NEAC Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week with 21 points in three games last week. Neuberger, a junior midfielder, helped guide the Wolves to a 3-0 week and a pair of conference wins with 18 goals and three assists. She tied the Wolves’ single-game record twice with eight goals in two games and scored 10 of her team’s 29 goals in conference play. Neuberger also recorded 12 ground balls, nine draw controls and one caused turnover while going 4-for-8 in free positions on the week. 

Gianna Ciacciarelli (Howell, N.J.) from Bryn Athyn College has been recognized as the NEAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week as part of a Lions’ defense that held its conference opponents to nine goals on the week. In a loss to Keuka College, the sophomore defender scooped up three ground balls and had three caused turnovers. Ciacciarelli added three ground balls and had a game-high five caused turnovers in a 15-3 win over Wells College. Ciacciareli is part of the league’s toughest defense thus far with the Lions allowing just 19 goals through four games.
