Firkins Receives First NEAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Award of 2018

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Lexi Firkins as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in women's lacrosse for the week ending March 4. There were no nominations this week's offensive award.

Lexi Firkins (Brockport, N.Y.), a sophomore defender from Morrisville State College, is the NEAC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Mustangs’ defensive effort in the season opener at Oswego State. Despite an 18-7 loss, Firkins collected a team-high nine ground balls. She also added four caused turnovers in her squad’s only game of the week.
