Perdicho, Arentz Receive NEAC Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Brannon Perdicho and Brandon Arentz as its Student-Athlete of the Week selections in men’s volleyball for the week ending Jan. 28.

Brannon Perdicho (Victor, N.Y.) from Wells College has been recognized as the NEAC Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week after helping the Express go 2-1 at the Elmira College Invitational. A senior outside hitter, Perdicho led Wells in kills against Thiel and Elmira while averaging 3.67 kills per set over three matches. In the 3-1 win over Thiel, Perdicho reached 1,000 career kills to become the first player at Wells to achieve the milestone. He finished the week with 44 kills, three service aces, 15 digs, five solo blocks and three block assists while contributing 53.5 points.

Brandon Arentz (Mount Wolf, Pa.) from Penn State Altoona is the recipient of the NEAC Men’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week award after solid defensive efforts against strong non-conference competition. In a loss to Thiel, the sophomore outside hitter had 18 digs. On Jan. 27, Arentz recorded 12 digs, two block assists and one solo block in a five-set loss to nationally-ranked No. 13 Nazareth. He also tallied 13 digs in 3-1 win over John Jay. In a 3-2 week for the Lions, Arentz totaled 50 digs and five total blocks while also contributing to the offense with 36 kills.


The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has fourteen NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Bryn Athyn College, Cazenovia College, College of St. Elizabeth, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Pennsylvania College of Technology, Pennsylvania State University – Abington, Pennsylvania State University – Berks, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Morrisville State College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Wells College, and Wilson College.  Associate members are: Cedar Crest College (W Swimming), D’Youville College (M Volleyball), Hilbert College (M&W Lacrosse), Medaille College (M&W Lacrosse, M Volleyball), Pennsylvania State University – Altoona (M Volleyball), and Rutgers University – Camden (M Golf).
