Benjamin Sealts Earns Third NEAC Men's Swimming & Diving Weekly Honor

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced Benjamin Sealts as its Student-Athlete of the Week selection in men’s swimming and diving for the week ending Dec. 10.

Benjamin Sealts (Ottawa, Ohio) from Gallaudet University has been selected as the NEAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. In a double-dual meet with SUNY Cobleskill and Cazenovia College, the rookie swimmer finished first in three events. Sealts won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55:39 and placed first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:04.86. He set his fifth school record this season as he erased the Bison’s 200-yard backstroke record posted in 2008. Sealts was over four seconds faster than the previous school mark, taking the event with a time of 1:58.41. Sealts was also a member of the 200-yard medley relay team that placed second.
