North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for 2/15/10
The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selections for the week ending Sunday, February 14, 2010 in the sports of men’s and women’s basketball.
Juan Paulino (Bronx, NY) was selected as the NEAC
Men's Basketball Player of the Week for this week. Paulino
led the Wells College Express to a
perfect 3-0 week against NEAC opponents. He finished the week
with 65 points (21.7/game), 62 rebounds (20.7/game), 10 assists
(3.3/game), 5 steals and 6 blocks . Paulino also made 21-26
free throws (.808 percent from the charity stripe) and had a .733
shooting percentage. In their first contest Paulino tied his
career high in rebounds with 26, while scoring 24 points in a 88-60
win over Morrisville State. In a 92-67 victory over Penn
State-Berks, he finished with 21 points and 24 rebounds before
ending the week with 21 points and 12 rebounds in a 72-68 victory
over Penn State-Abington. Paulino receives this award for the
third time this season.
Sabrina Jarmolinski (Lakewood, NJ) was selected
as NEAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for this week.
Jarmolinski led the College of Saint Elizabeth
Screaming Eagles to a pair of conference wins this
week. She finished the week with 37 points (18.5/game), 22
rebounds (11/game), 7 assists (3.5/game) and also added 5 steals
and 2 blocks. Jarmolinski was also a perfect 5-5 from the
free throw line and had a .615 shooting percentage for the
week. In a 74-53 win over Morrisville State, Jarmolinski
tallied 18 points and 9 rebounds and in a 85-68 win over Cazenovia
she had 19 points and 13 rebounds.
