NEAC SAAC Selected for NCAA Division III Special Olympics Spotlight Poll

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – This story highlighting the NEAC student-athlete advisory committee’s (SAAC) partnership with Special Olympics New York and Special Olympics Pennsylvania from this past spring has been chosen for this month's NCAA Division III Special Olympics Spotlight Poll, and now the NEAC conference needs your vote!

The NCAA Division III Special Olympics Spotlight Poll is a new story-telling initiative located on ncaa.org/D3SpecialOlympics.  It features three new stories per month – each highlighting a Division III and Special Olympics joint activity or event.

The story with the highest number of votes on the 25th day of each month is the winner. That institution or conference will be given $500 to use for its next Special Olympics event, as well as be recognized in the NCAA Division III Monthly Newsletter and on the NCAA Division III Special Olympics website.

The North Eastern Athletic Conference has thirteen NCAA Division III member institutions which include: Cazenovia College, College of St. Elizabeth, Gallaudet University, Keuka College, Lancaster Bible College, Pennsylvania State University - Abington, Pennsylvania State University - Berks, Pennsylvania State University - Harrisburg, SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY Institute of Technology, SUNY Morrisville State College, Wells College, and Wilson College.  Associate members are: Hilbert College (M Lacrosse), Medaille College (M&W Lacrosse) and Rutgers University - Camden (M Golf & M Tennis).  The North Eastern Athletic Conference has partnered with the North Atlantic Conference in the sports of men’s and women’s tennis.
