Founded in 1966, SUNYIT has more than 2,500 students enrolled in undergraduate degree programs in technology, professional studies, and the liberal arts on the SUNYIT campus - the newest in the State University of New York system - a high-tech learning environment on more than 800 acres in Marcy, NY.

Planning is underway for two major campus building projects: a $20 million field house and field project and a $13 million student center, both with completion dates by 2010. Students already enjoy living in the SUNY system's #1 rated residence halls which, combined with the robust Athletics and Recreation and Student Life programs, fosters a fulfilling campus life experience to support their academic success at SUNYIT.

SUNYIT is a member of the NCAA III, the ECAC and the NEAC. The growing Wildcat intercollegiate sports program sponsors men's baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's bowling, men's and women's cross country, golf, men's and women's soccer, women's softball, men's and women's swimming, and men's and women's volleyball. Additional sports will be offered as the new athletic facilities come to fruition.
