At Morrisville State College, we realize that the total college experience should be a balance of activities both in and out of the classroom. For many people, sports are as much a part of college as academics. Morrisville State College offers the opportunity for students to get involved in a variety of intercollegiate and intramural athletics.

An institutional commitment to athletics has made Morrisville State College’s athletic program one of the finest, offering state-of-the-art equipment and facilities coupled with outstanding coaches and trainers.

An Intercollegiate Athletic Board, a governing body compromised of students, faculty and staff members, ensures the viability of our intercollegiate teams and administers a healthy budget for each sport.

The athletes who wear green and white for the Mustangs are part of a proud tradition of team competition and enjoy a school spirit that brings a dedicated following of spectators to the stands for athletic contests. Morrisville State College athletes and coaches are committed to a tradition of athletic excellence.

At the present time, Morrisville sponsors the following sports for men: football, soccer, basketball, ice hockey, lacrosse, and cross country. On the women’s side Morrisville sponsors field hockey, volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, softball, and lacrosse. The college also sponsors a western riding equestrian team and a hunt seat riding team which compete in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.

Morrisville State College offers more than 75 bachelor and associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad University program and wireless technology initiative, the college recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones. Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities magazine.

The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing, early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main campus.
