At Morrisville State College, we realize that the total college
experience should be a balance of activities both in and out of the
classroom. For many people, sports are as much a part of college as
academics. Morrisville State College offers the opportunity for
students to get involved in a variety of intercollegiate and
intramural athletics.
An institutional commitment to athletics has made Morrisville
State College’s athletic program one of the finest, offering
state-of-the-art equipment and facilities coupled with outstanding
coaches and trainers.
An Intercollegiate Athletic Board, a governing body compromised of
students, faculty and staff members, ensures the viability of our
intercollegiate teams and administers a healthy budget for each
sport.
The athletes who wear green and white for the Mustangs are part of
a proud tradition of team competition and enjoy a school spirit
that brings a dedicated following of spectators to the stands for
athletic contests. Morrisville State College athletes and coaches
are committed to a tradition of athletic excellence.
At the present time, Morrisville sponsors the following sports for
men: football, soccer, basketball, ice hockey, lacrosse, and cross
country. On the women’s side Morrisville sponsors field
hockey, volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, softball,
and lacrosse. The college also sponsors a western riding equestrian
team and a hunt seat riding team which compete in the
Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.
Morrisville State College offers more than 75 bachelor and
associate degrees and options. Considered to be one of the most
technologically advanced colleges in the nation for its ThinkPad
University program and wireless technology initiative, the college
recently became the first in the nation to comprehensively replace
landlines in residence halls with individual cellular phones.
Morrisville State College was also chosen as one of the top five
colleges in the nation for campus activities by Campus Activities
magazine.
The Morrisville State College Norwich Campus offers associate
degree programs in accounting, business, computer systems
technology, office administration, liberal arts transfer, nursing,
early childhood, criminal justice and human services to south
central New York residents and employers. Students may also apply
coursework to other associate or bachelor degrees at the main
campus.
