    CCET Western Sweeps Triple Horse Show Weekend

    The CCET Western Riders opened the 2016-17 season this past weekend as the hosts of a triple-header horse show on Saturday and Sunday. The Wildcats turned in a dominate performance finishing as the High Point Team in all three shows. Individually, senior Kristen Wesoja captured two High Point Rider and one Reserve High Point Rider performance over the weekend. Wesoja currently leads Zone II Region II in the Highpoint Rider standings.

    The Cazenovia College Wildcats jumped out early in the first half going up 22-8 in the game's first seven minutes. Morrisville would then turn things around and go on their own 8-0 run to put themselves down 6. The mustangs and the Wildcats would then trade baskets for the final 6 minutes of the half, and Cazenovia found themselves up 34 to 31 going into halftime.

    Cazenovia College women's basketball fell to "Route 20 Rival" Morrisville State 78-65 on Saturday. With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-5 overall (0-2 NEAC). The win improves Morrisville to 4-2 overall (2-0 NEAC).

    The Cazenovia College Men's and Women's Swimming teams faced off against the Knights of Mount Saint Mary on the road Saturday. Mount Saint Mary finished in the top spot in each event on the day as Cazenovia fell by a combined score of 309-64. Women's Swimming scored 45 points and the Men's Swimming scored 19.

    Stewart Wins Two Events at Utica College

    Collin Stewart won both the 100 Yard Butterfly and 100 Yard Backstroke in the Cazenovia College Men's Swimming meet at Utica College Friday. Stewart finished with a time of 58.99 in the Butterfly and a time of 1:03.68 in the Backstroke.

    The Cazenovia College Women's Swimming & Diving team squared off against Utica College on Friday and the Pioneers held strong at home to win the meet 140-82. Sarah Stevens and Annaliese Zerafa finished 1-2 in both 1 M Diving events for Cazenovia with Stevens finishing with scores of 118.50 and 164.55 and Zerafa with scores of 111.53 and 114.75.
