MARCY, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly men?s basketball team earned a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) north division win on Wednesday night 84-65 over Wells College. The Wildcats took a 14 point lead in the first half thanks to a hot start by Josh Gregory (Whitesboro, N.Y.). The kept their foot on the gas in the second, growing their lead to a high point of 21 points late in the second half.

The ?Cats had the edge right from the start, jumping out to an early double digit lead in the first quarter. SUNY Poly would hold the lead for the duration, growing it to 27 points at its highest point. MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly Athletics Department has released the 2019 schedule for the Wildcat men?s volleyball team. This year?s schedule features 28 games; 11 at home and 17 on the road. The Wildcats open play at home with their annual Wildcat Invitational on the 25th and 26th of January. The Wildcats will play Elms and Geneva on Friday, January 25th at 4:00PM and 8:00PM and will play D?Youville and Theil at 3:00 and 5:00 PM on Saturday January 26th.
KEUKA PARK, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly men's basketball team lost to Keuka on Wednesday in NEAC play. The Wildcats had the lead through 20 minutes thanks to some sharp shooting by Redell Freeman (Rochester, N.Y.) who knocked down seven three-pointers in the first half. The Wolves would heat up in the second half narrowly outlasting the Wildcats down the stretch to earn the 72-69 win. The Wildcats are now 0-4 in NEAC Play.
KEUKA PARK, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly women?s basketball team lost their first NEAC game of the season to Keuka on Wednesday 50-60. The Wildcats shot an uncharacteristic 24% from beyond the arc going just 6-25. SUNY Poly is now 8-5 this season with a 3-1 record in NEAC play.
ALFRED, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly women?s basketball earned their first win of 2019 on Monday in a 76-56 road win over Alfred State. The Wildcats took the lead in the second quarter and never looked back. Molly Burdick (Vestal, N.Y.) and Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) led the way for Poly, scoring 17 points each in the game.
HUNTINGDON, PA. ? The SUNY Poly women?s basketball team wrapped up their fall semester schedule with a pair of games at the Juniata College Holiday Classic Tournament. The Wildcats faced host Juniata on Friday, defeating them 66-55 in the first game of the tournament. On Saturday, the Wildcats faced St. Vincent, losing 65-90. Molly Burdick (Vestal, N.Y.) and Kiersten Leos (Camden, N.Y.) were named to the All-Tournament Team.
FT. LAUDERDALE, FLA. ? The SUNY Poly men?s basketball team traveled to sunny Florida to compete at the Tripp Sports Cruzin? Classic for the second time in three seasons. The Wildcats took on Simpson on Thursday, losing the game 66-84, and Wartburg on Friday, losing 66-81. The Wildcats are now 2-9 on the season.
MARCY, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly women?s basketball team earned their sixth win of the season on Wednesday 85-75 over Medaille. The Wildcats won the game at the free throw line, knocking down a season high 24 from the charity stripe and shooting over 70% from the line. The Wildcats were also very efficient from the floor, shooting 51% from the field and 44% from three point land.

The game was tight for the entire 45 minutes of play, coming down to a last second layup by Cortland which sealed up the win. The Wildcats are now 5-3 this season, the Red Dragons improve to 4-5.
COBLESKILL, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly men?s basketball team suffered another heartbreaking loss in double overtime on Tuesday. This time the Wildcats fell to Cobleskill 67-63. The Wildcats are now 0-3 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) play. The game as even a match up as there could be with the halftime score, regulation score and first overtime score being all knotted up.

The SUNY Poly men?s basketball team lost a heartbreaker at the Campus Center Gym on Saturday in a hard-fought 2OT game against North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Morrisville State. The game came down to a last second pair of free throws with just .8 seconds left in the second overtime period. Lamel Faison was the man on the line with the game on the line. He drained both putting the Mustangs up by two. The Wildcats put up a last ditch effort shot to tie the game but it fell short to give Morrisville the 91-89 win.
UTICA, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly men?s basketball team lost on the road to Utica College on Tuesday night 83-94. The Wildcats shot better than the Pioneers from the field in the game (55.6% to 50.9%) but turned the ball over more, had less rebounds, and shot worse from the free throw line (59.3% to 73%). The loss is their second of the season.
OSWEGO, N.Y. ? The Wildcat men?s basketball team lost in the Championship game of the Max Ziel Tournament on Saturday to host Oswego State. The Wildcats had a tough first half and were outscored by the Lakers by 20 points. The deficit that was set in the first was too much to overcome, and Oswego?s high powered offense kept scoring leading to a 93-65 final score.
PITTSFORD, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly women?s basketball team lost in the Championship game of the St. John Fisher Tip-off Tournament on Saturday. The game was close in the first quarter, but the Host Cardinals of St. John Fisher built a solid lead in the second and third quarters to earn the 75-63 win.

The Wildcats came extremely close to a sixth NEAC Championship win, but fell just six points shy of host Lancaster Bible who recorded 44 points.

The Wildcats are on a tear, as they have won their last five matches with three of those wins coming against NEAC opponents. The victory puts the Wildcats into 5th place in the NEAC standings heading into the final weekend of the regular season.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly men?s soccer team hosted their last home game of the 2018 season on Wednesday night. Castleton got out to an early lead with two goals in the first half of the game. The Spartans extended their lead to 3-0 in the second half which is where it would finish.
MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women?s soccer team fell to SUNY Delhi on Tuesday at home in a non-conference game. The SUNY Delhi Broncos jumped out to an early lead on a goal in the 14th minute. They struck again in the 54th minute to take a 2-0 lead. The Wildcats made a push down the stretch, scoring in the 73rd minute to make it a 2-1 game, but were unable to tie it up down the stretch. The final score was 2-1.
MARCY, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly Wildcats Women?s Volleyball team defeated non-conference foe SUNY Delhi in straight sets on Monday (25-16, 25-12, 25-12). The win brings the Wildcats to a 12-15 overall record with three matches remaining in the regular season.
MARCY, N.Y. ? The SUNY Poly Women?s Volleyball team beat Penn State Abington and St. Elizabeth on Saturday. The two wins were vital for the Wildcats as they move into 6th place in the NEAC standings with one conference game remaining. SUNY Poly was able to squeak by Penn State Abington in five sets in the first match of the day (25-12, 17-25, 19-25, 25-15, 15-13). The Wildcats then swept St. Elizabeth in their second match (25-19, 25-16, 25-17). SUNY Poly is now 11-15 overall, and 6-4 in NEAC play this season.
