Penn State - Berks has begun a new chapter in the history of athletics at the institution. Penn State - Berks believes that the athletic programs complete the well rounded educational experience of our student-athletes. Berks Athletics is in the process of becoming full members of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) D-III. Penn State - Berks is going through the 4 year provisional process for joining the NCAA which will be completed at the end of the 2007-2008 academic year. Penn State Berks sponsors 12 varsity athletic programs which compete in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC).

For those individuals who are not interested in being a varsity athlete Berks also offers club and intramural programs for the student body. The club sports offered range from our nationally recognized ice hockey program to bowling. To round out the athletic and recreation programs there are a number of intramural programs that our offered throughout the academic year including flag football, basketball, and floor hockey.
