North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week Selections
GANSVOORT, NY – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week ending Sunday, March 23, 2008 in the sports of men's baseball and women's softball.

Tyler Fleischut(Doylestown, PA) was selected as the NEAC Baseball Student-Athlete of the Week. Fleischut, a sophomore shortstop and pitcher forPenn State University - Berks, was selected for his outstanding work at the plate, on the mound, and in the field.  At bat, Fleischut finished the week with a .470 batting average, 8 hits for 17 at-bats, 6 runs, 3 doubles, 3 RBIs, a .647 slugging percentage, 2 walks and a .588 on-base percentage.  In the field, Fleischut had 6 putouts, 10 assists and 3 errors for a .842 fielding percentage for the week.  On the mound, Fleischut recorded a 1-0 week with 1 game appearance and 1 game start.  Fleischut allowed 5 runs, 2 earned runs, held opponents to a .259 batting average, while striking out 3 and an ERA of 2.57.  Fleischut helped lead his team in one of the contest of the week with a good pitching performance going 7 innings while only allowing 2 runs.
Kim Kwitoski (Montrose, PA) was selected as the NEAC Softball Student-Athlete of the Week.  Kwitoski, a junior center fielder for Keystone College, was selected for her outstanding work at the plate and in the field this week.  Despite the team’s losses, Kwitoski finished the week with a .500 batting average, 3 hits for 6 at-bats, 1 runs, 1 double and a .666 slugging percentage, 1 walk and a .571 on-base percentage.  Kwitoski was one of two players to record three hits during the double headers contest, she went 2 hit for 4 at-bats with a double and a run scored in the opener and went 1hit for 2 at-bats with a walk in game two.
