North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week Selections
GANSVOORT, NY – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week ending Sunday, February 4, 2008 in the sports of men's and women's basketball.

Charles Edwards (New Brunswick, NJ) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.  Edwards, a 6’0” sophomore guard for Keystone College, was selected for his outstanding offensive and defensive performance for the week leading his team to a 2-0 week in conference play.  Edwards finished the week with 39 points (19.5/game), 9 rebounds (4.5/game), 7 assists, 2 blocks, 6-for-11 from three point range (.545 from behind the arch), 5-for-6 from the free throw line (.833 from the line), and a .609 shooting percentage.  In the first game of the week, Edwards recorded a game high 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and went 7-10 from the floor and 5-8 from three point range. The following game Edwards recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assist in only 26 minutes of play.
Jessica Kobesky (Dickson City, PA) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Kobesky, a 5’8” junior forward for Keystone College was selected for her strong offensive and defensive performance for the week.  Despite the teams losses, Kobesky finished the week with 54 points (18/game), 31 rebounds (10/game), 4 assist, 5 steals, 2 blocks, 12-for-19 from the free throw line (.631 from the line), and a .567 shooting percentage.  Kobesky recorded a double-double in all three games this week. She started the week with 11 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steal.  Kobesky continued on netting a career high 28 points, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist and 1 steal and going 13-18 shooting.  In the final game of the week, Kobesky recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Kobesky receives this honor for the second time this season.
