Student-Athlete of the Week Selections

Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selections
for week ending Sunday, December 16, 2007 in the sports of men's and women's basketball.

Eric Latendress (Oriskany, NY) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Latendress, a 6’3” senior forward for the Cazenovia College Wildcats, was selected for his outstanding offensive performance for the week leading his team to a 1-0 week. Latendress finished the week with 23 points (23/game), 1 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, 1 block, 3-for-9 from 3-point range (.333 from 3-point range), 2-for-2 from the free throw line (1.00 from the line), and a .500 shooting percentage. Latendressis the team’s leading scorer and had the game-winning layup with 5 seconds to go to help the team win a close 73-72 victory over Hobart.

Sandra Adames (Pontiac, MI) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. Adames, a 5’11” junior forward for the Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions, was selected for her strong offensive and defensive performance for the week. Despite the team’s one loss this week, Adames finished the week with 23 points (23/game), 23 rebounds (23/game), 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steals, 7-for-9 from the free throw line (.778 from the line), and a .571 shooting percentage. Adams had another impressive week following a triple double the previous week with 12 blocks. She is also sharing some holiday cheer in organizing a campus supply drive for enlisted Marines.
