North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week Selections
GANSVOORT, NY – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selections for week ending Sunday, December 2, 2007 in the sports of men's and women’s basketball.

Yasmeen Bates (Tobyhanna, PA) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.  Bates, a 6’ sophomore forward for the Keystone College Giants, was selected for her strong offensive performance for the week.  Bates finished the week with 44 points (14.6/game), 29 rebounds (9.6/game), 5 assist, 3 steals, 3 blocks, 12-for-17 from the free throw line (.705 from the line), and a .571 shooting percentage.  Bates recorded a double-double (12-14), plus a 12 point and 20 point game this week.
Charles Walker (Buffalo, NY) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.  Walker, a 6’3” junior forward for the D’Youville College Spartans, was selected for his outstanding offensive and defensive performance for the week.  Walker finished the week with 23 points (23/game), 7 rebounds (7/game), 7 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 1-for-3 from 3-point range (.33 from 3 point range), 6-for-12 from the free throw line (.50 from the line), and a .450 shooting percentage.  Walker defensively limited an oppontent to 16 points who previously was averaging 30 points per game and forced him into 12 turnovers.
