North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week Selections
GANSVOORT, NY – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces player-of-the-week selections for week ending Sunday, October 7, 2007 in the sports of men's and women’s cross country, men's golf, men’s and women’s soccer, women's tennis, and women’s volleyball.

Susan Bolgi (Lititz, PA) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the week for her 4th place of 29 finishers at the 6K – Albright College Invitational with a time of 26:14, a 7:02 per mile pace.  Bolgi is a sophomore for the Penn State Berks Nittany Lions whose team finished 3rd out of 3 teams with a total of 57 team points.Bolgi has continued to improve her time this season and her first top 5 finish this season.  Bolgi receives this award for the second time this season.
Mark Bartozek (Gilbertsville, PA) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the week for his 13th place of 51 finishers at the 8K – Albright College Invitational with a time of 30:34, a 6:08 per mile pace.  Bartozek is a sophomore for the Penn State Berks Nittany Lions whose team finished 4th out of 5 teams with a total 97 points.   Bartozek has continued to improve his time this season each race and his leadership has helped push his teammates to do the same this season.
Jackie Kirby Josh Robinson (Barton, NY) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the week for his outstanding performance for the Keuka College Storm. Robinson shot a two-day total of 151 (74, 77) which was good for a 7th place of 72 finishers at the ECAC Upstate/Metro Golf Championship at Oswego Country Club.  Robinson followed this performance with a 1st place out of 30 finishers at the Cazenovia Invitational with a one under par 70, 12 strokes better than the second place finisher.  He led his team to a 1st place finish out of 6 teams.
Scott Andrzejewski Jack Reece (Rochester, NY) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for his strong offensive performance for the Keuka College Storm.  Reece, a freshman forward, led his team to a 2-0 week in conference play with a total of 9 shots, 5 goals, and 1 assist on the week.  Reece scored a hat-trick with one assist in the first conference game of the week and followed that with a 2 goal second conference game.
Nicole Bondellio (Watkins Glen, NY) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for her offensive performance for the Keuka College Storm.  Bondellio, a senior forward, had a total of 10 shots, 6 goals, and 1 assist leading her team to a 2-0 week in conference play.  She recorded a hat-trick and an assist in the first conference game of the week and followed that with another hat-trick in the second game.  With her last goal this week, Bondellio set a new school career record with 45 goals.  She also holds the school records for assists with 39 and points with 129.  Bondellio receives this award for the second time this season.
Scott Andrzejewski Holly Woodcock (Royersford, PA), a sophomore, was selected as the NEAC Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance for the Penn State Berks Nittany Lions.  Walton finished the week with 3 singles and 3 doubles wins leading her team to a 3-0 week (2-0 in conference play).  In singles, she completed at the #3 position with scores as follows: 1) 6-4, 6-2, 2) 4-6, 6-3, 10-8, and 3) 6-3, 6-0.  In doubles, she competed at the #2 position with scores as follows: 8-6, 8-1, and 8-2.  Woodcock’s play has consistently helped the team this season to their current record: 9-2 overall (5-1 in conference play).
