Student-Athlete of the Week Selections
GANSVOORT, NY – The North
Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces player-of-the-week selections
for week ending Sunday, September 23, 2007 in the sports of men's and women’s cross country,
men's golf, men’s and women’s soccer, women's tennis, and women’s volleyball.

Eric Shotto (Olyphant, PA) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week for his 9th place of 69 finishers at the 8K – Cougar Classic at Misericordia University with a time of 28:57, a 5:49 per mile pace. Shotto is a sophomore for the Keystone College Giants whose team placed 3rd of 8. Shotto was the Giants’ top finisher at the meet. |

Jackie Kirby (Hawley, PA) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the week for her 1st place of 83 finishers at the 5K – Cougar Classic at Misericordia University with a time of 19:23, a 6:14 per mile pace, which was also a personal record of her. Kirby is a junior for the Keystone College Giants whose team finished 5th of 9.Kirbyhas captured three individual titles along with a second place finish behind a DII runner in her four outings of the year. Kirby receives this award for the second consecutive time this season. |

Sean Misstishin (Ashland, PA) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the week for his outstanding performance for the Keystone College Giants. Misstishin shot 76 which was good for 15th of 95 golfers at the Moravian College Fall Invitational at the Southmore Golf Club. Misstishin finished 5-over par and led the Giants to a 6th of 19 team finish with a team score of 309. |

Mustapha Kanneh (Philadelphia, PA) was selected as the NEAC Men’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for his strong offensive performance for the Penn State Berks Nittany Lions. Kanneh, a senior forward, led his team to a 2-1 week (2-0 in conference play) with a total of 10 shots, 4 goals, and 4 assists on the week. Kanneh score the lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Albright. In both conference games, Kanneh either scored and/or assisted in the remaining goals and assists. |

Kelli Brago (Watsontown, PA) was selected as the NEAC Women’s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for her offensive performance for the Keystone College Giants. Brago, a senior forward, had a total of 18 shots, 4 goals, and 1 assists for the week leading her team to a 1-1 week (0-1 in conference play). She recorded a hat-trick in the first half and assisted on a 4th goal in the team’s 6-3 non-conference win. She also scored the team’s lone goal in a 2-1 over time loss to conference rival Penn State Berks. |

Betsy Ranck (Leola, PA), a sophomore setter, was selected as the NEAC Women’s Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance for the Philadelphia Biblical University Crimson Eagles. Rank finished the week playing a total of 13 games, with 137 assists (10.6/game), 6 kills in 9 attempts (.46/game), 15 aces (1.15/game), 27 digs (2.08/game), 4 total blocks (.31/game) and 1.76 points per game. Rank led her team to a 4-0 week (2-0 in conference play) and has played consistently running the team’s offense. She also provided strong offense with her serving recording a team high 6 aces in their September 20th match. |
